One from the archives that seems to have slipped me by previously. Looking from the very tip of Alcatraz Island. I just loved the way this shot came together, from the framing of the sparse tree’s, to the bird, the dramatic skyline, the high rise towers, the small boat to to the right. One from the archives that seems to have slipped me by previously. Taken on Seaford Beach-East Sussex, as are most of mine recently. Endless photo opportunities here if you know where to look and get the conditions right.Taken on Seaford Beach-East Sussex, as are most of mine recently. What can you say, the picture say’s it all.
And yes, I did tinker in Photoshop.

The dog, after seeing the children shelter from the rain, makes a quick dash underneath the seats as the rain turns into hail. The laughter is because Dylan, the dog, shot under there the moment the hail came down. And not being of a small nature, was somewhat pushed for space. But desperate he was. And the kids, and myself, found it rather amusing. I was actually looking out for a picture like this. On my daily bike ride with my dog Dylan, we go up this path past a farm. Sometimes these two collies follow us up then peek their heads through these two holes. So today I took my camera and started whistling. Sure enough one of them arrived. Not sure where the other one was, because the two of them side by side is quite amusing. But I got one of them, for which I am happy. Taken back in the good old days when Seaford Beach was 15ft below the promenade and you could jump down at high tide. These were two of my friends. Not so high tide here…Taken back in the good old days when Seaford Beach was 15ft below the promenade and you could jump down at high tide.

This Blackbird was actually just watching for me to leave some food that I was feeding Dylan my dog. But against the dramatic clouds, the lone bird makes for a lonely figure.

Taken from my bedroom window, the lightning is actually out to sea. Taken on good old fashioned roll film.
So was nicely surprised when it was developed.
